2019 MSD Wayne Referendum

On January 28, 2019, the locally elected Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township board members passed a resolution establishing that the district will pursue an operating referendum that would, if passed by the voters residing in the district, support daily educational operations, improve student safety and allow the district to recruit and retain classroom teachers.

On Tuesday, May 7th, 2018, the residents of MSD of Wayne Township will have the opportunity vote on the operating referendum. Below, you’ll find the language of the referendum question.

“For the eight calendar years immediately following the holding of the referendum, shall the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township impose a property tax rate that does not exceed thirty-five cents ($0.35) on each one hundred dollars ($100) of assessed valuation and that is in addition to all other property taxes imposed by the school corporation for the purpose of maintaining daily educational operations, improving student safety and school security, and recruiting and retaining classroom teachers?”
