Celebration of Life Planned for Priscilla Dillow: A Champion for Girls in Sports

The legacy of Priscilla Dillow, a remarkable advocate for girls in sports, will be honored at a Celebration of Life event on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Ben Davis High School gymnasium. Dillow, who passed away in February at the age of 80, leaves behind a profound impact on the sports community, particularly in her efforts to champion gender equality and empower young female athletes.

Dillow worked as a teacher, coach, Assistant Athletic Director, Assistant Principal, and Athletic Director at Ben Davis High School, where she spent 37 years before retiring in 2002. During her tenure, Dillow fought tirelessly to establish opportunities for girls to participate in athletics, even before the enactment of Title IX.
