Hendricks Regional Health, MSD Wayne Township Announce New Partnership

Hendricks Regional Health and the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township announced a new three-year partnership effective July 1, 2023, making Hendricks the provider of athletic training and wellness center services for the district and giving Hendricks medical oversight of school nurse clinics. Additionally, MSD Wayne Townships nurses will get access to education and training through the Hendricks School Nursing program.
“We are excited to create this new partnership with Hendricks Regional Health. Our organizations – both deeply rooted in serving our community – believe in the power of collaboration and share a core value of integrity,” said Dr. Jeff Butts, Superintendent of M.S.D. of Wayne Township. “We look forward to growing our partnership to serve students and staff.”
Through this partnership:
- Wayne Township student-athletes will have access to a full circle of care in orthopedics, sports medicine, and rehabilitation from Hendricks
- Wayne Township school staff, spouses, and dependents covered by the health plan will have access to an additional four wellness clinics with a concierge approach to scheduling, referrals, and supportive resources
- Hendricks pediatricians will assume medical oversight of Wayne Township school nurse clinics to continue the top-level care to all students
- Wayne Township nurses will be able to take advantage of professional development opportunities through the Hendricks School Nursing program
