Area 31 Students Serve Senior Citizens from Wayne Community

Students from the Area 31 Career Center at Ben Davis High School recently shared their skills and time with senior citizens.

Those senior citizens — residents at The Harrison and Summit Place West — were treated to manicures, hair styling, lunch, and a visit with health science education students. The “Students Serving Seniors” event took place on Tuesday, November 29.

“This was a very special afternoon for both our students and the special guests they served,” said Scott Borah, Career Pathway Specialist at the career center.

Programs at the Area 31 Career Center prepare students for more than 200 types of jobs. For more information on Area 31, visit wayne.k12.in.us/area31/ or call 988-7230.
