Out of District Application for 2024-25 School Year

Out of District Transfer Application Enrollment of a student without legal settlement in the school district deadline is Friday, May 3, 2024 by 4:00 p.m.

Steps

  1. Complete application process for each student by Friday, May 3, 2024
  2. Wait for an Acceptance, Conditional, or Denial letter from the Elementary/Secondary Assistant Superintendent in June. Acceptance and Conditional letters will contain additional registration information.

All applications are due by Friday, May 3, 2024, by 4 p.m. – No applications will be accepted after the due date.
Please read the options below to apply for 24/25 Out of District Transfer.

  • Fill out the 2024-2025 application electronically. (When you apply online you will receive confirmation from, “forms-receipts-noreply@google.com”)
  • Fill out the paper application and return it to your student’s school or to the Education Center at the address of 1220 S. High School Road, Indianapolis, IN 46241
  • Email the application to rita.riggs@wayne.k12.in.us; enter “24/25 OODT” in subject line, or
  • Mail (US Post Office), applications must be postmarked by Friday, May 3, 2024

Requirements

  • One application must be completed per student.
  • Out of District Transfer acceptance is granted for one year only. (July 1 to June 30)
  • We do not provide bus service. Transportation to and from school must be provided by the caregiver.

Attendance

Any student may be denied Out of District Transfer if the student applying has excessive absences.

Discipline

Any student may be denied transfer if the student applying has been suspended or expelled during the twelve (12) months preceding the student’s request to transfer for ten (10) or more school days:

  1. Possession of a firearm, deadly weapon, or a destructive device as described in I.C. 20-33-8-16.
  2. Causing physical injury to a student, a school employee, or a visitor to the school.
  3. A violation of a school corporation’s drug or alcohol rules.
