Robey Elementary Teacher Wins State Recognition

Robey Elementary teacher Natasha Patterson has been named the Hazel Feldhusen Outstanding Teacher of the Gifted for 2021. The award is given to one Indiana teacher each year by the Indiana Association for the Gifted.

The association presents the Hazel Feldhusen Award annually to an individual teacher in a K-12 setting “whose exemplary classroom teaching demonstrates best practices in gifted education and positively impacts those students in the teacher’s care.”

The Purdue University Gifted Education Resource Institute sponsors the award, which includes a monetary award of $500. The award is given in honor of Hazel Feldhusen (1928-2007), who was an outstanding teacher of the gifted in West Lafayette, Indiana. Ms. Patterson will be recognized for her achievement at the January 3, 2022 meeting of the MSD of Wayne Township Board of Education.
