Wayne Winter Games Draws Hundreds for Fitness and Fun

The Wayne Winter Games and Giant Health Fair drew more than 700 people to the Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center Saturday, February 8.

Sponsored by the Wayne Township Education Foundation and MSD of Wayne Township, the games and health fair featured fitness activities and wellness demonstrations.

The competition, from 8-10 a.m., involved teams of four facing off in a series of fitness activities.

From 9:30 a.m.-noon, the event hosted free fitness fun stations and the Giant Health Fair. The health fair involved more than 100 health and wellness organizations doing health screenings, healthy food samplings, safety demonstrations and more. Attendees received a “passport” that, once completed, could be redeemed for a medal and prizes.

The event was sponsored by IU Health; LHD Benefit Advisors; ONI Risk Solutions; Church, Church, Hittle and Antrim; Prime Smile; Edge Fitness; and On Target Health. Platinum sponsors include IU Health, Cannon IV, the Indianapolis International Airport, and RX Help Centers.
