MSD of Wayne Township’s HOSTS Program Gains Two New Partners

The Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township’s volunteer reading tutoring program has two new partners: AECOM Hunt and the Aviation Institute of Maintenance.

The HOSTS (Help One Student to Succeed) program serves hundreds of second and third graders in MSD Wayne each year, with volunteer tutors, called mentors, helping them learn to read. More than a thousand community volunteers serve in the program. Fifty-six companies and organizations have become Premier Partners in HOSTS, providing four or more volunteer tutors.

MSD Wayne recently welcomed two new Premier Partners to HOSTS: AECOM Hunt and the Aviation Institute of Maintenance. The MSD Wayne Board of Education recognized these two companies at its January 28 meeting.

“Because of our caring community, MSD Wayne’s young readers are getting the support they need to carry them through to graduation day. We cannot say thank you often enough to our HOSTS volunteers,” said MSD Wayne Superintendent Jeff Butts.
