Two MSD Wayne Students to Serve on Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council

Students from Ben Davis High School and Ben Davis University High School will serve on Mayor Joe Hogsett’s Youth Leadership Council. First announced by Mayor Hogsett in April, the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council will help develop the next generation of Indianapolis leaders and elevate young people’s role in making Indianapolis a safer, stronger, and more welcoming city. The Council is made possible by the Lilly Endowment, The Indianapolis Foundation, Leadership Indianapolis, and the Marion County Commission on Youth (MCCOY).

“As a growing city and burgeoning tech hub, our youth will inherit an Indianapolis that is very different from the one we grew up in,” Mayor Hogsett said. “Through the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council, this group of talented and versatile students will have a voice in shaping that future city.
