Lynhurst Staff Goes Above and Beyond to Make Parent-Teacher Conferences a Success

From using Skype to visiting homes to sending their principal to pick up parents in a minibus, the staff at Lynhurst 7th & 8th Grade Center is working hard to make their student-led parent-teacher conferences successful.

The staff is aiming for a 10th straight year of 100-percent participation by parents in their conferences. Principal Dan Wilson made many minibus trips to pick up parents with transportation challenges.

“Our parents are extremely busy,” said Principal Wilson. “Many of them are working more than one job. We do whatever we can to make these conferences happen. They are often the first step to lasting engagement and relationships with our parents.”
