MSD Wayne Board of Education Approves Student Immigration Status Resolution

At its April 10 meeting, the MSD of Wayne Township Board of Education passed a resolution affirming the district’s commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students regardless of immigration status. Board Member Shirley Deckard was not present at the meeting but is supportive of this resolution and expressed that support at the school board’s March working session.

“We are honored to have so many families choose to send their children to the MSD of Wayne Township each day,” said Superintendent Jeff Butts. “As we always have, we will continue to welcome all children who enter our schools to provide them with the best services possible.  While we will not break any laws to do so, we will do everything in our abilities to help them be successful in school and beyond graduation.”
